Broad River Retail recently celebrated a major milestone at our Raleigh Glenwood Ashley Store, cutting the ribbon on a beautifully renovated showroom. On Thursday, February 13, we welcomed guests to experience the transformation firsthand, marking a new chapter for this flagship location.
A Store That’s Been Part of Our Journey
Since opening in December 2012, the Raleigh Glenwood Ashley Store has played a key role in shaping our presence in the region. Located in a high-traffic retail corridor, this store has been a cornerstone of our growth in the East, serving guests for more than a decade.
During the grand re-opening ceremony, CEO Charlie Malouf reflected on the store’s significance, noting BRR would not be where it is today without it. This location has been instrumental in our journey, helping us establish and expand our footprint in the region.
A Modern Refresh for a Better Shopping Experience
The recent Ashley 7.0 renovation has given the store a fresh new look and an enhanced shopping experience. The updates include:
- A brand-new facade for a modern exterior
- Enhanced lighting to brighten the space
- Fresh paint and new flooring throughout the 36,062-square-foot showroom
- An expanded Sleep Shop featuring approximately 40 mattresses
President and COO Manny Rodrigues emphasized the importance of moments like these, reminding us that cutting the ribbon symbolizes new opportunities and a fresh start. He encouraged everyone not to become numb to these milestones but to recognize them as meaningful markers of our continued progress.
Giving Back to the Community
To mark the occasion, we were honored to support two organizations making a difference in the Raleigh community. We donated $1,000 to both The Green Chair Project and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in recognition of their meaningful work.
- The Green Chair Project helps families transitioning out of crisis by providing essential home furnishings, ensuring they have a safe and comfortable place to live.
- St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital advances lifesaving research and treatment for childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases, ensuring that families never receive a bill for care.
Both organizations are transforming lives, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their missions.
